Collection: Home on the Range

Growing up in Oklahoma, I grew custom to the wide open skies. Typically you think of skies as a dance of monochromatic blues, but not in the big sky states. I love the evening hours, as sunset comes. The blue sky can be painted with deep purples and oranges, pinks and greens. I love seeing the shifting colors come across the natural canvas, mixing with the clouds that are present. In all of time, I am sure than no sunset has ever been the same. Incredible, really. The big sky, with the flat land beneath, it creates a beautiful pallet of colors, you over look.

I was raised in Oklahoma, where the dirt comes in a spectrum of brown and red. The wild flowers may sting you, so you better wear boots and jeans when traipsing through the grassland. What looks innocent from afar, can be dangerous up close.

These pieces were created with the wide open skies and flat plains in mind. The dancing colors of sunset, and the unexpected hues found in the fields.
