"Wheat in the Wind"- ORIGINAL WORK
The yellow wheat fields during harvest remind me of the hottest summer days. In our first year of marriage my husband and I lived in a rural community in Oklahoma. We would go fishing in the summer with the smell of freshly cut wheat drifting through the country roads, as we drove with the windows down. The lush green fields turn crispy, and the deep greens transition to a more neutral color. The sun is hot, and only the cedar trees remain green.
